Tell us a little about yourselves :

Ryan and I met 7 years ago, we were friends for a bit first and it grew into something more. Ryan proposed on his birthday in 2021, on our first trip out of the house post-covid and in that moment I was totally surprised, I thought he was just happy to be out. The proposal was very "us" and our families were also surprised and totally delighted

How much did you LOVE your wedding dress? Tell us about your Marie Me shopping experience:

My wedding dress was the one I couldn't stop thinking about. From the moment I tried it on I was struck, and I ended up buying the sample dress that I tried on my first appointment in Marie Me. If you believe in "meant-to-be" this was it. My dress was so perfectly suited to me and my venue and the feeling we wanted for our wedding, I couldn't have imagined getting married in anything else. I've never seen a wedding dress like mine and I'm so grateful it suited me so well

Tell us about your wedding :

Our main aim for our wedding day was for it to be a relaxed and happy day for our nearest and dearest and we really felt we achieved that. Our wedding party, our parents and we stayed at our venue, Ballyscullion Park, the night before as well as the night of and we really feel it added to a sense of relaxation and excitement to our wedding day. We couldn't have asked for more ❤️

Memorable moment? What was the highlight of your day

Seeing Ryan at the end of the aisle was a highlight, I was so much more relaxed after being reunited with him. Walking down the aisle to a song that meant so much to me. We also got to see our dog Arthur for a few photos after our ceremony and that was a real joy, he was so well behaved ?

Your top tip / word of advice for other couples planning their wedding day:

Try not to let the stress of planning take away from your day. Brides and grooms glow with happiness on their wedding days so try not to let outside pressures take away from the true meaning of a wedding. Take a couple of moments during the day to take a deep breath and soak it in, that really helped me slow down and enjoy it ❤️ be excited about having your person with you forever.
