Proud as Peacocks!

Posted by The Marie Me Matchmakers! ❤️ on 17th Nov 2021

We are bursting with pride to share the Peacocks! These childhood sweethearts married in August this year and their wedding exudes a timeless elegance that will transcend the decades.

They knew exactly what they wanted from their wedding; a stylish, classic and stress-free day with friends and family.

Amy and Ryan met at school , ‘After 11 years and 1 COVID postponement we were both more than ready to say I do.’ Amy works in marketing and Ryan works in Sales so they really do complement each other in all aspects of life. Ryan proposed on their first Christmas living together. ‘He had hidden the ring in with a Peacock bauble which now hangs pride of place on our tree every year. It was a complete surprise and to top it all off Ryan even had my engagement ring made bespoke. The boy did good! ‘

Amy looks totally breathtaking in her Stella York gown and we had a very proud fairy god-mother moment when her pictures landed in our inbox. ‘In terms of my dress I had a very specific look in mind as I knew I wanted sleeves. After finding my perfect silhouette, the girls at Marie Me suggested having sleeves added to it, something I never would have considered myself. But it totally paid off and I ended up with my dream dress.’

The bespoke sleeves added to her dress are just the perfect addition to give that elegant touch. It’s simple sophistication at its most glamorous!

They enjoyed a relaxed reception at the Wooltower. Guests were entertained with a string quartet at the ceremony and they rounded off the night with a surprise Ibiza style saxophone player. The perfect definition of when classic meets cool!

Amy’s top tip is;

‘Be prepared. Do as much as you can possibly do on the run up and this will help you relax more on the day, knowing that everything is now in the hands of your amazing suppliers. We even went as far as taking cream for wasp stings with us (a must for a late August wedding!) and it was used...on the groom no less!

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Peacock, may we wish you a lifetime of happiness together. Thankyou for sharing your beautiful wedding!
