Pitch Perfect Proposal!

#JustWedWednesday

Today’s #JustWedWednesday we’re talking scoring points, hitting it ‘over the bar’, wedding ‘goals’ and the perfect match. It can only mean one thing...we’re sharing the results of Brona and Peter’s big day and it’s a WIN! This wedding celebration has all the excitement and passion of a GAA final and our gorgeous bride Brona took the title Mrs McCollum.

Scroll to catch all the pics from legendary photographer John Curly McIlwaine!

Some of the best proposal ideas are those that truly capture the couple’s relationship. Peter proposed to Brona on her birthday, with the ring being enclosed inside a hurling ball! ‘For anyone that knows us, both our lives revolve around GAA, so it was such a personal and perfect way of proposing.’ This guy scores maximum points for effort and we award All-star credit for a pitch-perfect proposal.

After several date changes as well as a change of venue due to the pandemic, the couple got married on the 12th July 2021 in St Patrick’s Church in Loughguile with a reception in the Tullyglass hotel. Their wedding was one very special day. Not only did they have their 5 year old son Cillian with them to celebrate, but they also hired a bunch of our very favourite ventors to bring their vision to life.

Although we still had restricted numbers we had a fantastic day surrounded by our close friends and family.’

Brona gives a knockout performance in our Stella York #6928. The attention to detail in this gown is truly extraordinary with an artful mix of lace, tulle and crepe. Eye-catching graphic laces are placed over delicate cross-hatching elements throughout the sheer tulle and onto the crepe skirt for a striking contrast. She is an absolute vision of beauty!

We’ll leave you with our bride’s wise words of advice for the big day;

It's such a cliché but enjoy it. Take a minute to yourselves without anyone else being there and just have a moment.’

Congratulations Mr & Mrs McCollum on your glorious wedding, thankyou for sharing! xx
