James & Leeanne’s (& Harvey, their dog’s) glorious outdoor wedding!

It’s that time again, guys! Real life wedding inspiration is here and this fabulous couple have celebrated one full year of matrimony this month.

The glorious day back in May 2022 was filled with sparkle, joy and SO much love. Shot magnificently by Ali and Laura Photography, James and Leeanne’s wedding was “a chilled, fun, personal day and it was so good to finally get all the family together after years of lockdowns and restrictions.”

From the outdoor ceremony with their little doggo ‘Harvey’ cruising the aisle to all the personal touches, there’s so much to enjoy!

Tell us a little about yourselves

I managed to track James down on Facebook after seeing him around and I sent a friend request and thankfully he accepted! We got talking, soon arranged our first date and over dinner, found out we both loved music, were close to our families and both had dogs- he was perfect!

Covid put a stop to James' plans of a proposal on holiday somewhere so eventually he bit the bullet and decided to ask me on a lovely beach walk on the north coast, just us and our dog Harvey. It was just perfect.

Tell us about your wedding

We wanted a chilled, fun, personal day and it was so good to finally get all the family together after years of lockdowns and restrictions. We made our own invites, table plan and place names and created a ceremony playlist of all our favourite songs. Florals and foliage was the look and we had our ceremony outside in the forest

Memorable moment? What was the highlight of your day?

Our celebrant created a really lovely, personal ceremony which everyone loved and before I walked down the aisle, my Bridesman and friend from school, Will, walked our Best Boy Harvey down in his little suit.

Your top tip / word of advice for other couples planning their wedding day.

The RSVP date? Bring it forward by about a month! Waiting around on replies meant we couldn't get one made in time so I had to get creative! Don't invite anyone you don't want to, it's your day.
