Congratulations to this week's newly wed couple Emily and Tony Boyd, who celebrated the most stylish and intimate wedding on 24th July. Three words spring to mind when we think of Emily; Beautiful, stylish and sophisticated, after seeing the pictures from their wedding many more positive adjectives have been added!
Emily wore our 'Fiorella' dress by Modeca Bridal, it is the perfect combination of clean elegance and detailed romance. A beautiful detailed lace bodice with a subtle gleam really adds a romantic feeling to this fit and flare wedding gown. A sweetheart neckline makes this dress feminine and on-trend and suits Emily's petite frame perfectly. The stunning clean skirt is fitted around the hips, and subtly flares out at the bottom. Emily you look totally sensational!
The images look like they are straight from a Designers photoshoot, perfectly polished and picture perfect by the extremely talented Kellie Scott, we can imagine this couple were an absolute dream to shoot! #modelcouple!
Emily and Tony met in school but they only started going out when they were 18, fast forward 9 year Tony proposed proving that good things do come to those who wait! Emily tells us ‘l I was convinced I would know when he would ask but I was caught off guard completely! He took me up to the north coast for the day and I was so excited for a cheese toastie…little did I know he was going to propose! We spent the day on the beach just relaxing. When we were just about to head home, next thing I knew he was down on one knee with a ring! It was all a blur and I don’t remember a word he said apart from will you marry me?
Emily and Tony chose the iconic and stylish Merchant Hotel to have their reception in, the pictures from the rooftop bar look epic and we have no doubt Kellie Scott took full advantage of the view. There was no theme as such but Emily loves pastel pink and minty green so those colours definitely made an appearance on the day from bridesmaid dresses to wedding favours and the flowers!
What was the highlight of your day? Or what made your wedding day unique?
Highlight of the day was actually seeing everyone after so long (covid restrictions). We also decided to get a wedding jenga tower to act as our guestbook. This was such a good idea because we have so many funny messages and we can actually play jenga too!
Your top tip / word of advice for other couples planning their wedding day?
Planning can be quite stressful and overwhelming with so many choices to make. Just go with your gut feeling and know that on the day everyone is there to celebrate with you and nothing else matters.
Sound words of advice Emily!
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful wedding with us guys. May we wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Boyd xx
